25th Annual “Winter Weather Forecast Conference” – Saturday 10/28 @ OMSI in Portland
Portland, Oregon (October 12th 2017) – After the coldest overall winter since 1978/79, and the most significant Portland metro snowstorm since perhaps January 1980, the Oregon Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) will host it’s 25th “silver anniversary” Winter Weather Forecast Conference on Saturday, October 28th @ 10 AM @ OMSI in Portland.
Meteorologists will once again converge on Portland and give their prognostications for the upcoming winter. We are also excited to bring back some historical “local meteorologists” for this special anniversary conference. With a La Nina in the forecast this winter, there is sure to be plenty of exciting weather to come! The Oregon AMS chapter will also be raffling off a $250 voucher to the Tolovana Inn Resort in Cannon Beach. Another lucky winner will walk away with a $300 Davis home weather station.
